  24. - PIOS maker of a new PowerPC box (PIOS-ONE) will be there
  25.   to demonstrate their new products (http://www.pios.de)
  26.  
  27. - ProDAD are developing a new OS called pOS, it look similar
  28.   to AmigaOS.  It is currently port to the PowerPC, a 68k
  29.   version is already available (http://www.prodad.de)

  33.      In July, in Montreal, the first annual PowerPC Convention
  34. will take place!  This convention will gather the PowerPC
  35. community together from all across the world to show its
  36. support for the PowerPC platforms! (BeBox, PIOS-ONE, A/Box,
  37. Amiga(PowerUP), PowerMac(& clones), IBM, Motorola) We hope to
  38. make this show an event that will demonstrate the "POWER"
  39. behind PowerPC's and their operating systems (BeOS, pOS,
  40. MacOS, Linux, Solaris, AIX).

  42. WHY:  We are putting on the PowerCon'97 to support our
  43.       favorite computers. We feel that there is a place for
  44.       the PowerPC platform within the "WINTEL" monopoly.

  78. COST FOR RENTING TABLES : $150 - 1 day,  $250 - 2 days, for
  79.               one table of 6' by 3' and chairs.
  80.               These tables are aimed towards
  81.               dealers and developers.

  84. FREE TABLES:  We will also have free tables, for anyone who
  85.           wishes to BRING THEIR own PPC system, whether
  86.           to show off something cool, or just to help
  87.           someone else who might need one at the time.
  88.           However, at the free tables you get less space
  89.           than the pay tables, it is first-come first-
  90.           serve, and you cannot sell products at the
  91.           tables!  That is strictly for the rented tables.

  94. ACCESABILITY:  The show is easily accessible by bus and subway,
  95.            as well as having lots of parking space in the
  96.            vicinity for cars.

  99. WHY DEALERS SHOULD COME:  We offer tables at an incredibly
  100.     low rate, a price which includes
  101.               electrical outlets and electricity.
  102.               You also get the chance to show
  103.               and sell your wares to a crowd of
  104.               PPC owners, all of whom have money
  105.               to spend and are influenced by how
  106.               big a prescence you have at the show.

  108. WHY PEOPLE SHOULD COME:   We will have stands from many
  109.               major dealers and developers. We will
  110.               also have a lot of friendly PPC
  111.               owners there, plus a booming sound
  112.               system and TV setup that will show
  113.               crazy demos and products. It will be
  114.               a wild good time for all!
